NRG Construction Co. was established in 1983 in Berkeley, California, by Peter Toth, a State Licensed Building Contractor (Cal. Lic. #562316). Peter is still the head of his firm and directs all projects personally. 

In the first 6 years, NRG mainly concentrated in doing small residential interior and exterior finish carpentry projects and decorative woodwork.

In 1989 he established NRG Cabinets and Plastic Laminates Division in Oakland, a small woodworking shop, where he started serving the San Francisco Bay Area in the custom design and construction of residential and commercial plastic laminated counter tops, cabinets, store fixtures, reception centers, furniture and any special built-in custom case work. 

In the early 1990's NRG successfully completed architectural projects for offices, hotels, restaurants, retail stores and health clubs. In the late 90's NRG started making high quality solid wood traditional residential kitchen cabinets (no particle board and no Melamine use) with high success. 

NRG has always been dedicated to providing the finest materials and craftsmanship for each and every project. As a direct result of this, NRG has had more than 60% customers return and requested NRG to assist with additional projects. Our exacting personal attention to all details has made our business grow. 

By 2005 the successful business grew out of the original 1,000 Sq Ft shop and NRG moved to a much more spacious location (more than five times larger) at 6027 San Pablo Ave., Oakland CA 94608, where we operate today. Now we can input far more projects directly from local business and homeowners and assist them with the visualization, creation and completion of whatever their dream is.
